· The Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP) is a 12-step support group program. · PDAP had its beginnings in 1971 in Houston, Texas, at the Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church. · Locally, PDAP had its beginning on October 1, 1979, with a donation of $100.00 from St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Two buildings on opposite sides of town were made available to PDAP, one on the west side by St. Thomas and the other on the south side by St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church. · On March 3, 1980, PDAP opened its doors in Corpus Christi with a director/senior staff member and two junior staff members. · In the fall of 1994, Mrs. Grace W. Dobson and the Dobson family graciously gave the Palmer Drug Abuse Program the Dobson Building located at 3104 S. Alameda. · The Dobson Building was remodeled using funds raised for PDAP by the Charity League of Corpus Christi. · On March 2, 1990, PDAP opened a satellite office in Kingsville in space donated by Epiphany Episcopal Church. · Current Kingsville operations are housed in the First United Methodist Church, 321 West King Avenue. · PDAP also opened a satellite office in Alice, Texas, in space donated by Immanuel Lutheran Church on September, 1993. Currently members from Alice travel to Kingsville and Corpus Christi for meetings. |

Fast Facts (2010): · 274 unduplicated 12-17 year olds · 148 individuals achieved 30 consecutive days of sobriety and received the coveted 30-day fist. · Younger Group counselors logged 2,032 individual counseling appointments. |
