Our main location is at 3104 South Alameda in the Dobson Building, directly across the street from the HEB gas pumps and one block down from Incarnate Word Academy.

Kingsville Group Meetings are held at the First Baptist Church, 312 West King Avenue, Kingsville. See the tab for Meeting Times/Places for exact days and times.

Zero, zilch, zip, nada. FREE. Our programs are supported through the generosity of the community. A container is passed around at meetings, much like an offering plate, that the meeting participants are welcome to contribute to or not as they desire.

Frequently Asked Questions

The monkey fist is a marine knot used in docking ships. A baseball-sized knot with lines attached is thrown from the ship to the dock, the first contact the ship has with land. The crew on shore catches the knot, secures the lines to the dock, and pulls the ship in. The small leather monkey fist suspended on a thong is the symbol of a PDAPer’s first contact with solid ground. The group is the crew that pulls the newcomer safely to shore. A monkey fist is awarded after a member’s first 30 days of continuous sobriety.

The parent hearts are made of carved wood, also suspended on a leather thong. In the center of the heart is a carved or stamped monkey fist symbolizing the drug abuser who lives in each PDAP parent’s heart.
