PDAP Events

Our fundraising drive will begin with a Kick-Off Breakfast at the Omni-Bayfront Hotel on October 3rd at 7:30 a.m. and will end with an Appreciation Luncheon on November 7th at 12:00 noon at the Corpus Christi Town Club. If you would like to attend the Kick-Off Breakfast RSVP at 361-887-8900.

 

 

PDAP’s Fundraisers:

 

The Palmer Drug Abuse Program is constantly out in the community trying to raise funds. 

PDAP is an entirely free program with a budget of approximately $500,000 per year.  We receive no funds from the State or Federal Government and rely totally on individual donations, Foundation Grants, businesses and Group projects. 

 

 

Stripes Promotion

 

The Palmer Drug Abuse Program has been honored to be a part of a Circle K Mobile Campaign for the past several years.  This year it becomes the Stripes “Donate a Dollar to PDAP” Campaign.  Stripes patrons purchase a mobile for $1.00 with the proceeds benefiting the Palmer Drug Abuse Program.  The patron purchases the mobile for $1.00 and receives a coupon for buy one slush monkey product for the regular price and get a second product free.  This is the largest fund raiser that PDAP has each year.

PDAP Kingsville’s Annual Drug Free Walk

 

The Kick-Off Luncheon for the 2008 Drug-Free Walk will be held in February of 2008

 at the First United Methodist Church. This will be followed by the 2008 Drug- Free Walk usually held on the last Saturday of March. The walk officially begins at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Kleberg County Courthouse and will walk in parade fashion down Kleberg Avenue to the Old Memorial High School in Kingsville and will end with refreshments.

 

 

PDAP Kingsville’s Annual Golf Tournament

 

This event will be held at L.E. Ramey Golf Course in June 2008.

Format : 3 person scramble to include one single digit handicapped player

Cost: $65 includes cart, green fee, and lunch

Limited to the first 40 teams.

 

 

 

PDAP’s Annual Retreats and events:

 

Families in Recovery retreat and workshop

 

This is a two day event located in Leaky, Texas at the H. E. Butt Foundation Camp. The workshop is geared towards families being in unity during the course of a loved one being addicted to drugs/alcohol. This is a yearly event usually held in September and is attended by over 200 individuals.

 

 

Big Beach Day

 

This event is held at Padre Island past Bob Hall Pier around August.

 

 

Valentine’s Dance

 

This event is held every year on Valentine’s Day at the PDAP Corpus Christi Office.
