Welcome

The Palmer Drug Abuse Program (hereinafter referred to as PDAP) is a spiritually based, non-sectarian, three-part family program for teenagers and young adults, who express a desire to find an alternative to drug and alcohol abuse and addiction; for parents who seek solutions to family and personal conflicts arising from drug and/or alcohol use by a family member.  There is no charge to anyone who comes to PDAP for help.  Anonymity is guaranteed.

Palmer Drug Abuse Program had its beginnings in 1971 in Houston, Texas, at the Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church.  Locally, the Palmer Drug Abuse Program of Corpus  Christi, Inc. was founded in 1980 with a donation from Saint Bartholomew's Episcopal Church. Today there are eight support group meetings weekly and offices in Corpus Christi and Kingsville.

Our Mission

PDAP is a fellowship of young people and parents who have joined forces, under the guidance of a trained and dedicated staff, to share their experience, love, and understanding, to solve common problems associated with drug and alcohol abuse, and help others recover from the effects of mind-changing chemicals.  PDAP's recovery process incorporates twelve steps and twelve traditions.  PDAP staff and members work to facilitate recovery from the effects of these devastating chemicals. They also work with the abusers' families by supporting them in an atmosphere of love and understanding.
